ReactLive is not an AI demo looking for an event use case. It grows out of years of building technology for high-volume live audience participation.
We started with participation, not with AI.
Before ReactLive, the work was audience engagement: getting large numbers of people to ask, vote and respond during live events, and keeping that working when the audience was much larger than the team running it.
Doing that repeatedly teaches you where live events actually break. Not in collecting audience activity — that part has been solved for years — but in what happens next. Somebody still has to read it, judge it, decide what to do, and explain afterwards what people cared about.
ReactLive is the answer to that second problem, built by the people who kept running into it.

The shift was not a decision to add AI. It was noticing that every event team we worked with was doing the same manual work, under time pressure, every single time.
- The same question, ten ways
- Every event, a moderator reading a queue to discover that most of it is one concern repeated. That is recognisable work, and it does not need a person.
- The answer already existed
- Most questions in an internal event resolve to a document the organisation had already written. The problem was retrieval under pressure, not knowledge.
- Moderation as a timing problem
- What causes damage is not hard judgement calls. It is content nobody reached in time.
- The report nobody had time to write
- Leadership asks what people cared about. Answering it meant an afternoon reading rows in a spreadsheet — so it often did not get answered properly at all.
Those four observations are why ReactLive is shaped the way it is: three specialist agents with narrow jobs, and a Report that does the reading nobody had time for. The longer argument is in the manifesto.
